Playing off the heavy-hearted emotions from his last single, harley is making it known he’s walking you through the emotions that make-up every break-up with his newest single ‘tough guy’.
After two years in Seattle’s Cap-Hill neighborhood, he and his girlfriend separated. Tangled up just to unravel, he packed up his clothes and ditched south to Music City.
Robbing sounds from his Seattle emo-grunge bloodlines and mixing it with Nashville’s electronic-leaning pop, harley waterfalls the most lovesick breakup playlist to hit music streaming platforms with his repeat single ‘tough guy’.
“Breakups change you – sometimes for the worst. I tried to move on so quick just to get over her. But when I did that, I didn’t deal with the problem at all. I just put a bandaid on it and saved it for later. That’s what ‘tough guy’s about.”
harley took 3 years from releasing music to commit to songwriting to make sure lyrics, melodies, and instrumentations communicate his separated feelings. ‘her’ playlist is set to rain singles through the rest of the year.
