“A beguiling, hypnotic artist that blends elements of pop, smoky jazz, soul, electro and artpop. Vanilla Fumes details the breakdown of a relationship with O’Hara wrapping her silky smooth, effortlessly expansive vocals around whipsmart and wry lyrics” – Women In Pop

“And yet, for all its intimacy, Bambi O’Hara carries a sound that can only be described as big. You’ve got the swelling strings, sultry guitars and some dynamic drumming. There’s almost a classic Bond theme vibe at play, what with the strings and not to mention those bold, brooding vocals. It should come as no surprise that O’Hara draws influence from Florence + The Machine and Lana Del Rey amongst others.” – The AU Review

Tasmanian born, now Sydney based – Bambi O’Hara has just released her third single “10:45”. Bambi O’Hara’s “10:45” was released on Friday April 16th and is her follow up to singles “Vanilla Fumes” which reached over 70,000 streams on Spotify in a few months, and “Crazy Without You”, both of which have been played on Australian FBi Radio and other platforms.

Bambi O’Hara carries a new heart wrenching soundtrack for disillusioned love.

Speaking on her music, Bambi O’Hara states: “I’m infatuated with tragic romance and nostalgia. I love blending cinematic atmospheres and trap beat production, with layers of sultry poignant vocals.”

Born from a DIY ethos and an isolated mentality from growing up in a small town, O’Hara has been writing and performing since 15. Drenched with layers of violins, synths, dynamic drums and harmonies, O’Hara’s music is co-produced & co-written with partner Tim McArtney. Every lyric is written from O’Hara’s real life experiences.

This single “10:45” is a full of longing, love and lust. There is a swagger throughout the chorus, fused with lyrics: “Now it’s quarter to eleven and I can’t stop thinking about it; I had a look at heaven and I can’t live without it” flooded with in-depth production and incandescent vocals. On the 14th of May, O’Hara will be performing a stripped back live show, including “10:45” plus several other songs, at the Oxford Arts Factory hosted by ‘Women In Pop’.

The music video accompanying “10:45” is inspired by a lustful and surreal dream, following O’Hara down cinematic and ethereal scenes. Directed by Sam Brumby (Sticky Fingers, Julia Jacklin, Ali Barter and more), Brumby and O’Hara drew inspiration from O’Hara’s favourite directors David Lynch and Lars von Trier to create the music video’s other-worldly and nostalgic sequences.
