BEATS CARTEL
drops huge double mixtape
for charity
.
.
Queensland agency Beats Cartel has today released 2 raucous mixtapes to support fellow musicians Australia-wide during this period of intense Covid lockdown.
Teaming up with Support Act, an organisation helping artists, roadies and music workers in crisis, Beats Cartel has assembled a massive list of roster artists and friends worldwide to kindly donate a track to the project, with all raised funds going to the Australian charity.
The two Covid Mixtapes assemble a massive international lineup of talent with Volume I focussing on Punk and Heavy Groove featuring such acts as Beastwars (NZ), Mondo Generator (USA), Lo!, Sumeru and Svetlanas (ITA). Volume II brings the heavy down a notch with plenty of Psych and Stoner groove, Blues influence and straight up Braaap with artists including Nick Oliveri (QOTSA), Elephant Hive (ISR), Transvaal Diamond Syndicate, Rick Dangerous and many more.
The two volume mixtape compilation will be available separately on the Beats Cartel Bandcamp page today with all proceeds donated to Support Act.

Beats Cartel agent Rick Trewavas says of the compilation concept “Compilations like the Punkorama series from Epitaph, and the Fat Music series from Fat Wreck Chords, introduced me to some of my favourite bands back in the day. We thought it would be a cool concept to bring back to introduce people to the Beats Cartel familia, while raising some funds for Support Act. The pandemic has been disastrous for musicians and the industry at large, so we’re stoked to be able to give something back to Support Act who have been doing such an important job.”
Known for long-term support of the underground and grass roots Blues, Rock and Heavy scenes, Beats Cartel has coordinated over 5000 underground lineups in over 10 years, booking a stack of venue, bands and events with a love of helping musicians at the core. The agency creatively coordinates Brisbane’s Dead of Winter Festival, Mojo Burning, Aftermath and is booker for the recent Gold Coast Live Music Venue of the Year award winning space Mo’s Desert Clubhouse. In the last few years the agency has also toured international acts such as Radio Moscow, 1000mods, Beastwars, Kadavar (coming soon), Nick Oliveri, Svetlanas and more with plans to involve further afield acts in 2022/23.
Beats Cartel would like to sincerely thank all artists for donating their works for the cause and encourages any industry worker in need to apply for a Covid Support Grant through Support Act.

AMNPLIFY – HG
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
