Today, BAM announces the special guests that will take part in Bendigo Autumn Music festival’s On The Couch series with Brian Nankervis. Writer, producer and co-host of Rockwiz, Nankervis has invited some of BAM’s performing artists to join him for an intimate chat offering audiences a glimpse into the lives of some of the BAM artists they will discover or those they already love.

Appearing on the couch at BAM on Saturday 27 April is jazz singer Alma Zygier (exceptionally talented daughter of Deborah Conway and Willy Zygier), three time ARIA award winning blues guitarist Jeff Lang as well as charismatic violinist and composer Xani (The Twoks).

Making appearances on Sunday 28 April will be old world Goldfield’s songbird Freya Josephine Hollick and one of Australia’s most versatile and beloved vocalists, Katie Noonan. Brian will also sit down with three of The Go Betweens members, Lindy Morrison, Amanda Brown and John Willsteed, who are also set to treat BAM audiences to a special performance of their poetic 1988 album 16 Lovers Lane, thirty years on!

With a line up boasting guests from all around the globe, coupled with some of Australia’s finest musical talent, and alongside a bevy of arts, film, comedy and workshop offerings, Bendigo Autumn Music festival has now released the playing times.

Thursday 25 April  sees a huge offering for opening night at the majestic, repurposed, Ulumbarra Theatre, with short performances from Australian icons Deborah Conway and Willy Zygier along with Sakwatch, Archer, Sibusile Xaba and many others. Brian Nankervis will MC the only limited ticket item of the festival. Running from 6pm – 11.30pm, BAM’s Opening Night Gala gives audiences a taste of the eclectic program, highlighting some musical legends and hand-picking up and comers to keep on eye out for.

BAM runs the full weekend through to Sunday evening and truly offers something for everyone. With only five weeks until the inaugural event, view the program online and plan your magical weekend in the picturesque city of Bendigo.
