After confirming their return as a 4 day camping festival earlier this year, the Beyond The Valley organisers finally have some more news to share with us. Today the festival has announced they have a new home, as well as revealing that their highly anticipated lineup is coming this Thursday at 12:20PM AEST.
The festival will now take place at Barunah Plains, a picturesque oasis 1.5 hours out of Melbourne which boasts a 100,000 square metre natural amphitheatre. With sweeping trees, rolling hills, mystic bridges and a winding creek, Barunah Plains will be the perfect home for a new era of Beyond The Valley.
The video posted from their socials this afternoon features a Kaytranada song, the festival also teased Bicep back in April.
Organisers have also confirmed the return of its 3 iconic stages – The Main Stage, which will feature a larger than ever custom design, unmatched audio and world-class production, The Dance Tent which will feature a 70-metre wide LED wall and renowned Funktion-One soundsystem, and Dr Dan’s, the much-loved multilevel dancefloor colosseum, which will reveal a new reimagined design.
For the first time at BTV, there will be a Podcast Stage with live and interactive recordings of your favourite podcasts. Patrons can also step away from the music and go for a swim in the pools at the Beach Club, or uncover Schmall Klüb, a concealed party with spontaneous sets from your favourite DJs only accessible through a concealed secret entrance, via a portaloo door.
With this also comes the news of the introduction of a daily entry ticket, so punters have the option to stay at accommodation in the local areas or go home each night. For the first time there will also be viewing platforms and Auslan interpreters at the Main Stage, and a designated accessible campsite positioned close to the festival arena.
Other features confirmed by the festival today include interactive art installations, the Poof Doof ‘Pride Patrol’, Speed Dating, Open Mic, Fortune Teller, Doof Stick Making, Yoga, Pilates, Meditation & more.
If you’re after a more luxurious experience, Beyond The Valley’s Lux Camp is the largest glamping offering in the Southern Hemisphere. They’ve increased their offering this year with an Ultra Deluxe option which includes a chauffeur, butler, daily ice delivery, an airconditioned emperor tent with a raised mattress, and more.
Beyond The Valley’s commitment to social impact will increase this year with its move to its new home, committing to social and sustainable partnerships through financial contributions as well as local community initiatives.
As part of Beyond The Valley’s ongoing partnership with AIME, $1 for every ticket sold will be donated to the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience to support their programs. AIME’s initiatives have provided opportunities and connections in the form of structured mentoring to over 25,000 First Nations high school students around Australia to date.
For the first time, Beyond the Valley will be using registered charity Humanitix as their ticketing platform. Through their booking fees, education projects are funded for the world’s most disadvantaged children to close the global education gap.
Beyond The Valley will also be partnering with Treecreds for this year’s event. Each vehicle and coach pass will go towards the purchase of carbon credits to offset emissions.
In its first year, it is projected that the move to the new site will inject an estimated 30 million dollars into the local region. The festival has made a commitment to donate $50,000 annually to local community groups via a grants program.
The festival, which started in 2014, has featured the likes of RÜFÜS DU SOL, Tyler The Creator, The Kooks, Joey Badass, Bonobo, Jamie XX, Chance The Rapper, SchoolboyQ, Honey Dijon, Kaytranada, Stormzy & many more. The 2019 camping edition sold out instantly.
Supported by triple j, Beyond the Valley is brought to you by Untitled Group, the largest independent music promoter in Australia and the masterminds behind festivals such as Pitch Music & Arts, Grapevine Gathering, Wildlands, For The Love, Ability Fest & more.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
