Bedroom pop artist biblemami has officially entered the alt-pop zeitgeist with the release of her debut EP ‘Unpleasant Adolescent’ out now via Dew Process.

She has also shared brand-new single ‘Outsider’, a song which once again delves into teenage complexities and serves her signature reflective lyricism on an indie-pop platter of perfection.

On the EP release biblemami reflects, “Unpleasant adolescent is a love letter to my teenage years of sorts. The writing and creation of this EP spanned from ages 14-17, and in a way mirrors and communicates all the facets of my experiences as a teenage girl. Now that I’m 18, I’ve finished high school, I can drink, all of that – but I can also look back on this love letter 4 years in the making, and in doing that, I feel every feeling I did when I wrote each of the songs. I didn’t even think I’d MAKE it to (legal) adulthood, and it feels so bittersweet but so right to share my unpleasant adolescence with the world.”

biblemami first made her mark with debut single ‘act ur age’ in early 2020, an instantly relatable bop on growing pains with zooming MGMT-esque chords, rat-tat-tat beats and hypnotic vocals. This was followed byDeath Support’ which set the tone for what to expect from her debut EP, a reflection on a vulnerable relationship featuring an echoed back-beat accompanying biblemami’s husk-toned voice.

Earlier this year biblemami led listeners down the rabbit hole, teaming up with indie-pop producer & artist Thomas Porter to offer up the Alice in Wonderland inspired track,Bunny’ with its gritty bass, tight drums, & smooth vocals.

With the release of her debut EP ‘Unpleasant Adolescent’ and a high school graduation under her belt, all whilst dealing with a pandemic, biblemami is ready to take on the world. Get ready to pray at the altar of biblemami.
