Big Pineapple Music Festival has taken out the title of ‘Festival of the Year’ at the 2020 Queensland Music Awards… again!
‘Festival of the Year’ is a publicly voted “people’s choice” award and Big Pineapple Music Festival is thrilled to have taken home the trophy for a third consecutive year. Yay!
“We feel incredibly privileged to have amassed such an enthusiastic and fiercely loyal following over the past eight years. We really couldn’t wish for a better crowd and their continued support is very much appreciated. We can’t wait to bring you the 2020 edition of Big Pineapple Music Festival!” said Big Pineapple Music Festival Founder Mark Pico.
The Queensland Music Awards celebrate and showcase the best of Queensland’s music industry. The awards ceremony was held at the Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane last night.
The eighth Big Pineapple Music Festival will take place at Pineapple Fields, Woombye on Saturday 30 May.
A stellar lineup including Hilltop Hoods, Alison Wonderland, The Amity Affliction, Dune Rats, Example (UK), G Flip, Thelma Plum, Kingswood, Odette and many more will feature across the festivals Triple J, Sea Shepherd, Super Love and Pineapple XX stages.
Big Pineapple Music Festival also includes a weird and wonderful collection of interactive performances, art installations and more. There’s also the event’s iconic Ferris Wheel alongside a range of delicious food options, markets stalls and bars.

There’ll be lush bell tents on offer, plus on Friday you’ll be treated to campfire hangs, a licensed bar and a veritable frappe of fun times at the Pineapple Party.
Kick off your BPMF weekend with sets from Kyle Lionhart, Approachable Members Of Your Local Community, Bootleg Rascal and Jack Botts. Plus, everyone’s favourite Silent Disco returns featuring Australia’s hottest award winning drag queens, Jawbreakers plus Paces, Go Freek and Bonfire. Book your camping spot for the full BPMF immersion experience!
If camping isn’t your thing, there’s a whole bunch of accommodation options available on the Sunshine Coast. Head to Visit Sunshine Coast to check out your options and be sure to book early so you don’t miss out!
Big Pineapple Music Festival will again be a 100% park and ride event. That means there is no parking, drop offs or pick ups permitted at the festival. Catching the bus is the most efficient way to get to and from the festival and at just $7.50 it’s also great value. Stay tuned for more info!

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
