After releasing his future-soul inspired single ‘Taste’, alongside a live performance video with choir accompaniment, Sydney-based indie-electronic songwriter and producer, Billy Fox, has now revealed a stunning remix of the single by critically-acclaimed indie-pop group, Tigertown.

Experimenting with sonic textures, lead guitarist Chris Collins spotlights Fox’s lush vocals whilst updating the track with groove-laden synths and accentuating the existing beat. The result is an innovative and intricately-layered rework of ‘Taste’ by an award-winning producer.

Collins explains the inspiration behind the remix –

“The thing I love about Billy’s track is that it’s like a dark, moody build up. The suspense is awesome, so I thought it’d be cool to give a feeling of ‘release’ in my approach to the remix, offering a conclusion to the suspense.”

Fox reflects on the privilege of working with Collins over the past year, “the idea of a remix came up and Chris was the natural fit. He’s a very busy man these days so I’m so stoked he could do it, and he’s taken the song to another place entirely!”

Since its release, ‘Taste’ has been strongly supported by the likes of triple j, Spotify, MTV, worldwide tastemaker blogs and community radio stations SYN & 4ZZZ, amongst many others.

To celebrate the launch, the songsmith recently embarked on an East Coast tour, which saw him perform to record crowds in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Sydney and Melbourne.
