Off the back of 2017’s triumphant Chew The Gum EP, Bleeding Knees Club are psyched to announce its upcoming release on vinyl. And as an extra-special treat, it’ll be backed by the band’s iconic debut EP Virginity, with both releases making their appearance on record for the very first time. Both sides of the double-EP set will be bolstered by rare bonus tracks from each era – ‘Home’ and ‘I‘ – making the 11-song, blue vinyl package a highly collectable item for the band’s fans. The Virginity / Chew The Gum set is released on Friday, March 23 via Inertia Music, and is up for pre-order now at http://bleedingkneesclub.com.au/merch. Tracklist and further details below.
Vocalist Alex Wall says,
“I’m so excited to get this set together, collecting our latest and very first recordings. We still play early songs like ‘Teenage Girls’ and ‘Have Fun’ in our live shows, and it feels long-overdue to have ‘Virginity’ out on vinyl. It’s been newly mastered at The Submarine in Brooklyn for this release, and backed with our latest EP ‘Chew The Gum’ which we’re all super-proud of, it’s a great representation of Bleeding Knees Club as a whole.“

Chew The Gum saw the ex-Gold Coast outfit relocated to Sydney, and with a freshly-configured line-up. The band completed a frenzied national tour to launch the EP that included one broken jaw and one broken ankle, and left The Brag gushing that “Bleeding Knees Club’s chaotic Sydney comeback show proved punk is not dead“. After carving out circle pits at festivals including Stonecutters (Adelaide), Sounds Of The Suburbs (Sydney) and Valley Fiesta (Brisbane), the foursome saw out 2017 with their rousing anthem ‘Case‘, which Life Without Andy frothed “returning to save us from the boredom of the working week, Bleeding Knees Club’s ‘Case’ will make you want to throw your laptop out the window and set your desk on fire.” That song will feature on Bleeding Knees Club’s upcoming new album, which drops later this year. The band are also thrilled to announce that they have signed to UK booking agency Earth Agency, and are making plans to hit Europe in the second half of 2018.
For now, catch Bleeding Knees Club live … and on the shelves of a record store … near you soon!
