Today, Australian three-piece Blusher announce debut Australian headline shows set for this coming December and alongside share ‘24 Hours In Paris – Miranda’s Version’. A remix of their latest single, it was produced by the band’s resident DJ and dance music aficionado Miranda.

In Blusher’s metaphorical teen rom-com of a band, all three members are the leads as well as being accomplished producers and through remixing their own tracks they’re showcasing that.

Inspired by the likes of yuné pinku, Four Tet, A.G. Cook, Peggy Gou and Grimes, Miranda says “while the original song is perfect for the ‘sadness’ phase of grieving a breakup, this remix is for the next phase – the ‘having a huge, chaotic night on the dance floor’ stage of healing. My favourite phase, personally.”

Created in borrowed moments between flights, house parties and touring, Miranda’s Version sees the band in a new space, primed for the club as they embrace the freedom the dancefloor brings. Miranda adds “this remix matches what I love about dance music and DJing – not sticking to any rules, just having fun and getting weird with it.”

Having supported Tove Lo, Aurora and The Rions in Australia, and Dadi Freyr in the UK, Europe and North America, the band are playing their long-awaited debut headline shows in Australia later this year, with their debut London headline show happening next month.

July will see the band share more new music as they continue to build the Blusher world, single by single. The band are also set to appear in Trafalgar Square for London Pride on 29 June, BST Hyde Park headlined by Kylie Minogue on 13 July, plus festival dates including Latitude Festival and pop DJ sets around the city.

’24 Hours in Paris’ follows on from recent singles ‘Accelerator’ and ‘Rave Angel’, which are the first taste of new music for the trio since the release of their debut EP Should We Go Dance? in mid 2023.

In the past 12 months Blusher have been named as one of Spotify’s RADAR artists, and showcased at The Great Escape UK and SXSW Sydney.

About BLUSHER:

In Blusher’s metaphorical teen rom-com of a band, all three members are the leads. They share vocals on their songs and swap instruments during the live shows. They all produce and write together, utilising their individual experiences cutting their teeth as solo artists before forming the band. Unfiltered lyricism peppered over dreamy synths and thick baselines lands the Blusher sound somewhere between late-night solitude and a 2am dance floor. Since Blusher launched into action at BIGSOUND in 2022, the trio are on track to become a staple amongst the Australian pop landscape. The trio have garnered support from the likes of triple j, iHeartRadio Australia, People Magazine, Vogue Australia, RUSSH Magazine and DORK Magazine.
