Colombian stars Bomba Estéreo (@bombaestereo) deliver “Romantica Champeta” – a new collaboration single with champeta star Kevin Florez and producer The Busy Twist. This song is a tribute to the legendary Barranquilla Carnaval. The official video for “Romantica Champeta” arrives today, filmed near Barranquilla, and directed by Bomba’s Li Saumet (@lisaumet) with Jhoy Suarez – WATCH HERE!
The Barranquilla Carnival celebrates the diversity, music, and dance traditions of the region and is often considered to be the second most important cultural celebration in Latin America following the Carnaval in Rio de Janeiro. For Bomba, especially Li Saumet, the Barranquilla Carnival is one of the most important moments of the year. The song is a celebration of Li’s roots and invites listeners to feel the joy and colorful spirit of the party.
“Romantica Champeta” follows the recent release of Bad Bunny’s “Ojitos Lindos” video featuring Bomba Estereo. The video was directed by longtime Bad Bunny collaborator Stillz and filmed in Los Angeles. “Ojitos Lindos” is from Bad Bunny’s groundbreaking album ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ which won a GRAMMY for “Best Música Urbana Album.” “Tainy worked his magic to build ‘Ojitos Lindos’ with Benito’s vision and our Bomba essence,” Li Saumet says. “Benito wanted a nice and pretty song so we worked together in the studio in Miami to make a nice and pretty song and I think the outcome accomplished that.”
