Fresh off taking over bookings for Eora/Newtown venue Bootleggers, Eora/Sydney music agency Good Intent unveils a stacked run of free shows this August–September to mark the venue’s second birthday.
Leading the charge are The Sunday Estate, Liquid Zoo, Kosher Groove, SLIM JIMZ, Jacob Turl, GRXCE, Julia Why? and MEMORY MOTEL – joined by a stellar cast of supports to help ring in another lap around the sun for the beloved Eora/Newtown haunt.
“We’re thrilled to showcase some of the most exciting emerging artists on the Sydney circuit for the venue’s second birthday,” says venue booker Thomas Roche.
“Bootleggers offers world-class production in the heart of Newtown – making it a go-to spot for artists looking to play in the thick of the Inner West. We hope music lovers find their favourite new artists at these events, and enjoy what the venue has to offer,” he adds.

Bootleggers is a 200-cap room tucked above Kelly‘s on King in Eora/Newtown, just steps from major public transport. The space features full backline, including Fender guitar and bass amps, a Pearl Export Series EXX kit, and has just undergone a $15,000 production upgrade – ensuring top-tier sound and lighting for artists and punters alike.
The venue is open for bookings seven nights a week, with Good Intent also curating in-house programming – including free-entry late night Friday events, and rotating Saturday club nights spotlighting diverse genres, collectives and communities.
Bootleggers joins The Lansdowne (Eora/Chippendale) and The Trocadero Room (Eora/Enmore) under the Good Intent booking umbrella – stitching together a circuit of independently-minded, artist-friendly venues that make tour routing easier and shows more viable.
Alongside its venue operations, Good Intent also manages artists like Bootleg Rascal, FANGZ, Close Counters and Fool Nelson, and handles PR & Label Services for Akon, Crowded House, Chromeo, Pacific Avenue, The Terrys, Coterie, RedHook, Everything Everything, and many more.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
