The variety and depth of David Bowie’s music requires an epic line-up of artists in their own right to ensure justice is done. This is exactly the treat you are in for on Sunday 31 May as BOWIE: GOLDEN YEARS hits the stage as part of Memo Music Hall’s 100% live stream concert series – bringing the true feel of multi-camera live TV performance direct to you.
BOWIE: GOLDEN YEARS brings together some of Australia’s best frontmen and award winning artists in their own musical right. Featuring the line-up that blew audiences away in 2019 and again in early 2020 is BOOM CRASH OPERA’S DALE RYDER, TAXIRIDE’s JASON SINGH & TIM WATSON and ELECTRIC MARY’s RUSTY BROWN.
Backed by an incredible band comprising some of Australia’s premier musicians, including BABY ANIMALS DAVE LESLIE on guitar and TAXIRIDE’s SEAN McLEOD on drums, BOWIE: GOLDEN YEARS will celebrate the breadth of BOWIE’s musical styles from Rebel Rebel, Sorrow and Space Oddity to Heroes, Modern Love, China Girl, and Young Americans.
To-date the BOWIE: GOLDEN YEARS show has only performed in Victoria on selected dates – Bowie’s birth day and the anniversary of his passing.
Tying in nicely with the theme of BOWIE: Golden Years performing on dates of significance to Bowie, this Sunday night’s performance also marks 37 years since the release of CHINA GIRL – the second single from Bowie’s most commercially successful album LET’S DANCE.
After more than two months between gigs, these musicians are all itching to get onto the stage and can’t wait to bring you a night of musical celebration paying homage to the incredible career spanning music of rock and roll legend, DAVID BOWIE.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
