Today, Boy & Bear release their new album At Golden Retriever Studio, comprised of acoustic versions of songs from the band’s latest album Suck On Light, along with fan favorites from the #1 ARIA charting albums Limit Of Love and Harlequin Dream. They’ve also included their recently released cover of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game (acoustic)” and an unreleased, original track “3 Moons.”

Fans can join the band on their Instagram @boyandbear today as they share their album release celebration’s with you.  For 12-hours they’ll be giving you a look behind the scenes of the album, taking you into their studio and homes, with interviews and insights into creating, writing and recording. They’ll cover everything from preparing to go into the studio, teaching you how to play the chords to some of their songs and even debate how to make a good coffee.

Celebrated for their warm tones, rich harmonies and live charisma, the five-piece became inspired to record the acoustic album after their last North American tour: “When we tour the US, we often get asked to perform our songs acoustically at radio visits. This usually involves acoustic guitars, tambourines and a toy keyboard, with the five of us jammed into a small studio. Fans always ask for these versions, so it gave us the idea to record a selection of acoustic tracks and present them as an album.”

Of the new song, lead vocalist and guitarist Dave Hosking says, “3 Moons’ was originally part of the ‘Suck on Light’ recordings, but it didn’t end up on the album. We always loved the song, so we were stoked to find a place for it on this acoustic record. The production is different from the other songs, but I think the sentiment is the same. The song means a lot to me.”

Premiering the official ‘3 Moons’ video on Russh.com, first-time writer/director and award-winning actress, Taylor Ferguson (Clickbait, Glitch) said “3 Moons is about grief: a version of grief. I wanted the audience to feel like we were inside Lily’s mind, whilst at the same time being anchored in her reality. It was fun to have some of the band play a small part too.”
