One of Australia’s most influential and iconic musicians, Jeff Lang, today releases his brand-new collaborations album More Life.   The guitarist, songwriter, vocalist and producer continues to enjoy a worldwide reputation as a guitar virtuoso, and he consistently inspires and challenges his audiences by transcending and defying expectation.  Quite simply, Jeff Lang is an individually unique talent and once you’ve delved into his musical universe, you can’t look back.

The acclaimed Australian guitarist, 3-time ARIA winner, singer-songwriter, author, and producer, is hitting the road through October and November to introduce audiences to his new collaborations’ album More Life all around Australia.

More Life is the culmination of a few years of work, beginning with the concept of an album of songs co-written by Lang and some of his favourite artists. The album features songs Jeff Lang co-wrote and performed with: John Butler, Liz Stringer, Don Walker, Fred Leone, Kerri Simpson, William Crighton, Suzannah Espie, Hat Fitz & Cara and Asin Khan Langa, and also includes guest appearances from Bassekou Kouyate and Debashish Bhattacharya.

Aside from his love of collaborations, Jeff Lang is also a stunning lyricist and has a gift of being able to portray pictures in sound and craft songs as stories.  His lyrics are abundant with depth and imagination yet they’re wide open for individual interpretation.

Jeff Lang says “making More Life was a bit more involved than it would be for a regular solo album of mine, as rather than me coming up with the material and pitching it to the various duet partners, or simply choosing an assortment of covers to duet on, I wanted to write new material with each singer. That way the album would not only contain brand new material, but it could cover a more varied and potentially interesting stylistic terrain. The unifying element would be my own musical voice, bouncing off that of each of the collaborators.  The writing of the songs was richly rewarding, and delightfully varied. It’s been such an enjoyable and rewarding process, resulting in 12 songs that cover a lot of stylistic ground, but that still hang together as a cohesive album.”

More Life comes as both a CD and a deluxe double gatefold vinyl album with artwork by iconic US cartoonist, Jim Woodring.
