Alta Falls have released the title track of their debut EP, ‘The Fire’. It’s a high-energy track that packs a punch with catchy lyricism carried by a euphoric kind of feeling. It’s one that’s sure to go off live with danceable beats and punchy hooks.

The lyrics on ‘The Fire’ tell a story from the perspective of the father of lead singer, Nathanael. “My Dad was telling me a story from when I was a small child. There was a sudden and catastrophic bushfire heading towards our house. He was working in the city and my Mum, brother, and two sisters were at home. Chills ran down my spine as my Dad told me the feeling of driving home that night, past burning coals and ashes on both sides of the road, wondering if we were still alive. Thankfully, the wind had turned at the last minute and we were spared.”
‘The Fire’ was recorded in early 2020, not long after the devastating 2019/2020 bushfires which destroyed over 2,000 homes in Australia. ‘Alta Falls’ says, “‘The Fire’ was the first song we recorded for the EP. It was at a time when it felt like the world was imploding – first, the devastating bushfires which were making headlines all over the world, and then the spread of COVID-19 started taking hold. It was an eerie time, and the recording of this song made us reflect on not just the heartache felt by so many, but that even during such adversity there’s hope that shines through.”
The duo’s debut EP is produced by Aidan Hogg (Jaguar Jonze, Holy Holy) and features Sebastian ‘Baz’ Jennings Hingston (Tia Gostelow) on drums.
Alta Falls’ previous releases have been making noise in the Aussie indie-pop scene. Dave Ruby Howe described ‘Take Me On Down’ as, “Spring loaded indie pop with a neon heartbeat.”
Declan Byrne described their single ‘Into You’ as, “Uplifting.” Going on to say, “The Stranger Things-esque production keeps a nice element of mystery too so it doesn’t feel too sweet.”

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
