Renowned Brisbane band Ball Park Music release their latest single, ‘Like Love’, a song unlike any other they’ve recorded before.
Featuring only an acoustic guitar to accompany Sam Cromack’s stunning vocals, the raw ode to love is somehow simple and complex at the same time. Reflecting on the importance of connection in a busy world, Sam’s heartfelt storytelling is as strong as ever.
Similarly, the ‘Like Love’ music video visually encapsulates the essence of the song, sparse yet filled with tangible energy, as the sun rises on a striking Australian coastline while waves gently roll in to the sounds of Sam crooning “Sometimes I don’t know what the fuck I’m feeling, but none of it, none of it, is like love.”

In another exploration of their ever-evolving sound, ‘Like Love’ highlights the raw emotion and lyrical depth that fans have come to cherish from Ball Park Music, but with a new simplicity and vulnerability that will no doubt resonate.
Ball Park Music singer and songwriter Sam Cromack says of the song, “’Like Love’ is one of those songs that comes out of nowhere. I was up late, nearly ready to call it, and it appeared. It seemed to write itself and feel so complete from the first moment. Songs mostly don’t behave like this. This song is that little voice, the one that is quiet and true, trying to pierce through the screeching, forceful clamour of life to remind you of what really matters.”

Ball Park Music have had an unbelievable 12 songs place in triple j’s Hottest 100, including two in the top 10, with ‘Cherub’ at #4 and ‘Stars In My Eyes’ at #8, while all seven of their records have appeared in the top 10 of the triple j Album of the Year listener poll in the year of their release.
Now, off the back of a massive arena tour with Lime Cordiale, Ball Park Music are preparing to release more compelling music and will continue to prove themselves as one of Australia’s most influential bands of the last decade, expanding on their incredible catalogue of songs that have soundtracked so many lives.
