Teenage Baltimore natives Snail Mail are set to bring indie-rock realness to Brunswick’s Estonian House on 8 March, 2019.
Snail Mail is on the brink of something huge. So it’s fitting that they are the first act to be announced by the newly dialled up Brunswick Music Festival. With heads still spinning from the warm reception to their 2018 Matador Records debut, Lush, Lindsey Jordan and her band will throw their dizzy bones on a plane to Australia in March for an early evening headline show at Brunswick Music Festival 2019.
Drawing a close comparison to predecessors Liz Phair and Fiona Apple, Snail Mail enchanted audiences worldwide upon release of their EP, Lush, earlier this year. Its earnest 90’s indie rock refrains are set to reverberate through the iconic Estonian House, just one of several new Festival venues, for BMF 2019, which has turned its attention to curating a fresh set of one-of-a-kind shows in unconventional spaces.
“This is a preview of the quality of the yet-to-be-announced complete bill”, says 2019 music programmer, Emily Ulman.
“I’m as excited to see the response to this first announcement, as I am to be unveiling the rest of the killer line-up. We will be celebrating the artists, musicians, and culture that define Brunswick and the people who play, live, work, and love here. Get ready to get amongst it with us in March!”
