Global superstars BTS have today debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart with their latest release MAP OF THE SOUL: 7, out now through Big Hit Entertainment via The Orchard / Sony Music Entertainment Australia. This is the second time BTS have reached the top of the ARIA Album chart, having claimed the top spot with their non-English speaking album MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA in 2019. They remain the only Korean musical act to top the ARIA Albums Chart.

Earlier this week, BTS appeared on an hour-long special of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where the band made headlines shutting down Grand Central Terminal to perform their latest single, ‘ON’ – watch HERE. BTS also had fun appearing on the now cult Carpool Karaoke as part of The Late Late Show with James Corden, featuring some of their hits plus a cover of Bruno Mars and Cardi B’s ‘Finesse’ and Post Malone’s ‘Circles’ – watch HERE.

BTS have once again poured their hearts out through the powerful and energetic hip hop lead single ‘ON’ that reflects on their calling and mindset as artists during the seven years.
Featuring Sia’s signature eerie and charismatic voice, the digital exclusive version ‘ON’ (Feat. Sia) gives off a pleasantly different vibe from the original. The majestic video for ‘ON’ dropped early Friday morning breaking the record for being the biggest YouTube premiere of all time with 1.5+ million concurrent viewers tuned in for the debut on YouTube Premieres. It is currently at a staggering almost 52 million views (51 852 028) – watch the video NOW .
MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 reflects on the seven years since BTS’ debut as a seven-member team. The group now accepts both the proud light and withheld shadow of their identity to tell a story of individuals who have found their complete selves.
The album consists of 20 tracks, including 15 brand new songs on top of the 5 tracks from MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA. The intricately woven album and the expansion of BTS’ musical spectrum showcase the band’s development as artists.

Other tracks include ‘Black Swan’ – released in January this year, ‘Louder than bombs’ – co-written by Troye Sivan and ‘We are Bulletproof : the Eternal’– the continuation of ‘We are Bulletproof Pt.2’.
The album is also comprised of unprecedented unit combinations – ‘UGH!’ where the rappers express their “anger against anger full of malice” the vocal unit track ‘00:00 (Zero O’Clock)’ which touches the hearts of many with its heightened ense of sincerity, Jimin and V sharing their special friendship in ‘Friends’ and ‘Respect’ where RM and SUGA feature with their distinctive rap.
Alongside the previously released singles ‘Intro : Persona’, ‘Interlude : Shadow’ and ‘Outro : Ego’ MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 also includes solo tracks of various genres highlight the unique traits of each seven members. ‘Filter’ shows a different sides of Jimin, ‘My Time’ encapsulates Jung Kook’s emotions from when he was a trainee up until now, ‘Inner Child’ sings to V’s past self while hewas going through a rough time while ‘Moon’ reveales Jin’s love for ARMY (their fan base).
