After 14 years conquering stages worldwide as part of global phenomenon 5 Seconds of Summer – which claimed the No. 1 spot on Billboard 200 with three consecutive albums and has amassed over 7 billion combined global streams – Calum Hood is coming home. The bassist will release his introspective debut solo album ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’ on June 13 alongside ‘An Evening with Calum Hood’ – an intimate Sydney showcase hosted by Ash McGregor for just 100 fans on June 14. Entry to ‘An Evening with Calum Hood’ is via a ticket ballot with event-exclusive fan activations presented together with Meta. For details on how to enter, fans can visit Calum Hood’s Official Australian store HERE.

The result of a deeply personal creative journey, ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’ explores the strength it takes to look inward and move forward through pain. Featuring singles ‘Don’t Forget You Love Me’ and ‘Call Me When You Know Better’ the album is primarily alongside Jackson Phillips (Day Wave), with key contributions from David Burris (Lauren Spencer Smith, ITZY) and TMS, this is heady, raw, tender work that’s unflinchingly sincere – showcasing the 29-year-old’s mastery of nuance and emotional depth. While marking a new beginning, it’s also a reckoning with Hood’s past.
“This album was made in a tumble dryer of knowing and not knowing,” Hood explains. “I started out with a vision—order—but quickly became overwhelmed by the process—chaos. Eventually, I learned to embrace both, and that balance became the heart of the record. There are things I’ve never been able to sing about in the band—my upbringing, my family, the places life has taken me. This album is about laying those things to rest and allowing listeners to connect in their own way.”
.
Hood also announces two instores the weekend of his album release: Oh! Jean Records in Fitzroy (12pm Friday June 13) and HUM on King in Newtown (1pm Saturday June 14) for vinyl signings.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
