Melbourne’s Camp Cope lead the City of Swan’s HyperFest 2018’s huge second announcement, off the back of their monumental appearance at Falls Festival and ahead of their National tour in March.
The fearless trio will be joined by Cronulla-based indie youngster Ruby Fields, South Australian mosh lords Falcifer, with local heroes J.F.K, Kopano, Lost Honours, Muka Vhattie and Vacant Home rounding the announcement out.
They’ll join HyperFest’s already stacked line-up, which includes (in alphabetical order) Arno Faraji, Carmouflage Rose, Carla Geneve, Columbus, Dear Seattle, Feels, Glass Wave, Heaps Good Friends, In Hearts Wake, Introvert, Jess Locke, Maddy Jane, POW! Negro, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Raksha, Sly Withers, Tired Lion, WAAX and Winter Corner.
City of Swan Deputy Mayor Kevin Bailey said the festival, which is happening on Saturday 24 February at Midland Oval, would have three huge stages packed with live acts.
“There’ll be Drug Aware Main Stage, RAC Road Ready Stage and RTRFM Local Stage, as well as a HUGE silent disco featuring 27 of WA’s best and brightest producers and DJs programmed by WOMPP (Women of Music Production Perth), CURTIN EMAS (Curtin Electronic Music Appreciation Society) and the Hyper Team of youth volunteers,” he said.
“As usual, this event would not run without the help of our young volunteers, so we are very grateful to have them on board again this year.”
