Sydney-via-Perth producer and electronic all-star Carl Fox returns today with his latest solo offering“Watch Me Play” – an infectious electro-pop number which will have you basking in summer’s warmth, long after the sun has set.

With its bouncing beats, layered vocals and quirky melodies, “Watch Me Play” is a guaranteed party-starter, embodying Fox’s passion for creating fun, unique music that is full of life – out via local tastemakers Personal Best Records.

Carl Fox has been turning heads since his 2010 debut album Chunky Rainbow, touring with the likes of Flume, RÜFÜS and Miami Horror and playing major Australian festivals including St Jerome’s Laneway and BIGSOUND. His trademark sound is a result of using both analogue and electronic instruments, which has helped Fox rise to national acclaim on both triple j and community radio. In more recent years, Fox has rubbed creative shoulders with Sydney beat-maker Jesse Sewell to form the collaborative project Porsches, where Fox’s songwriting skills and ethereal vocals flourished on the duo’s breakthrough 2015 track “Horses”. The track was immediately added to high rotation on triple j and became quintessential to electronic music playlists globally, with nods from BBC One in the UK.

Carl Fox has established himself as a reputable producer, commanding the desk of triple J Unearthed High winners Mosquito Coast’s “Call My Name” and producing one of Sydney’s brightest acts of 2017 Moody Beach and her stunning debut self-titled EP. “Watch Me Play” is laden with Fox’s impeccable creation techniques, a welcomed taste of what he’s been cooking up recently and a glimpse of what to expect in 2018.
