Today, gifted writer, producer, vocalist and the refreshingly idiosyncratic creative Carla Wehbe shares her new single ‘is forever off the table?’ via Warner Music Australia. The sparkling track acquaints the listener with the true Wehbe, a time-traveling space cowboy that sounds like everything and nothing you’ve ever heard. Driven by an arcing melody that cruises close to the stratosphere, it’s buoyed by the undeniable force of Wehbe’s pipes.

The Sydney based artist describes the otherworldly glam-pop stomp of ‘is forever off the table?’, which feels like a lost Queen A-side, as ‘my favourite music I’ve ever made.’ She adds: “I wrote ‘is forever off the table?’ at a time in my life where I  was desperate for anything to hold on to, that might give me a sense of security, comfort or a just feeling that told me I was meant to be here. It’s about the fantasy worlds you create in your head while you cling for dear life to the hope that they could one day be reality. It’s about the deep desire for that forever feeling, whatever it may be. The introduction is the heartbreaking inner monologue, before the abrupt awakening by the verse to the current reality. ‘is forever off the table?’ is for anyone who‘s ever felt like an alien, because even aliens deserve to be loved.” The awe-inspiring and retro inspired official music video directed by Kyle Caulfield plays on this and transports the viewer into Carla’s space cowboy, time traveling style world.
