“Side Effects is about trying to create distractions when you can’t be with the one you want, but nothing really soothes you, so you end up just feeling stir-crazy.” says Carlie.
The new song comes after Carlie’s summer release of her debut EP, Junk, which has now streamed upward of 20 Million. Listen HERE.

Toting a guitar and spinning, wise-beyond-her-years, stories of lost love through a cigarette-burned croon, 19-year-old Carlie Hanson turns suburban discord into confessional pop. As the story goes, she left a McDonalds drive thru gig in a tiny Wisconsin town in 2017 and quietly infiltrated the music mainstream. A series of independent singles clocked nearly 70 million streams as she garnered praise from CR Fashion Book, Nylon, L’Officiel, Relix, Hillydilly, and more. Paper Magazine included her in its “100 People Taking Over 2019,” and Taylor Swift handpicked her for a personal Apple Music Playlist.
After performing at several notable US festivals this summer including Bumbershoot in Seattle and Summerfest in Milwaukee, Carlie embarked on a successful tour with Jeremy Zucker, opened for pop superstar Troye Sivan on his fall “Bloom Tour” in the US, made her European/UK debut opening for YUNGBLUD, and completed her first headline run herself this past summer.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
