Melbourne-based Hip Hop artist Carter is back in the spotlight with the two-part offering of ‘Understand It’ and ‘Cutting Ties’ which was released via Day Ones Records on July 12th and August 9th respectively.
Following the success of his single ‘100-60’ that was premiered via Life Without Andy and Triple J Unearthed, Carter opens up to his growing listenership about his struggles and hardship in meeting societal expectations and how he was able to free himself, achieving happiness and peace. ‘Understand It’ explores the theme of self-awareness as he surrounds himself by negativity and making a tough but necessary transition to move beyond it. As a means to an end from the dark period of his life, ‘Cutting Ties’ highlights his decision of choosing long-term happiness rather than chasing short-term comfort.
“These two songs represent a part of that story, where I had to change my surroundings and use the noise as motivation.” – Carter on Understand It & Cutting Ties
Receiving huge love from local blogs and community radio (Check SYN HipHop’s IGTV series featuring Carter) for his previous efforts’, Carter is now more prepared than ever to make an impact in the expanding Australian Hip Hop scene and abroad as he blazes forward expecting to drop consistent projects throughout the tail end of 2019.
“It’s all about refining the workflow and creating the momentum, and I’ll do my best to make it happen.” – Carter on his music

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
