Debuting back in March 2022, London-raised, Sydney-based singer songwriter Chanel Loren closes out the year with her latest single and video, ‘F4U’.
Returning to her signature mixture of alt-R&B, ‘F4U’ sees Chanel ruminating over a past relationship with present day self-assuredness. Instantly captivating audiences with her soulful cadence, Chanel’s stardom is plain to see as she mesmerises listeners with addictive melodies. Directed by Angie Osman, Chanel’s angelic vocals are personified in the accompanying visual, highlighting her flawless stage presence and complete control which has made her a rising star to watch for both local and global tastemakers.
Chanel Loren on ‘F4U’: “I wrote ‘F4U’ in reflection of a relationship where I ignored all of the red flags. I told myself the next time I get into a relationship, I’m not falling on my face anymore, that person has to catch me.”
Marking her fifth and final release since emerging back in March, Chanel Loren has swiftly become one of Australia’s most promising R&B talents. Her four previous singles, ‘Playlist’, ‘Disappear’, ‘Some Other Time’ feat. Arz and most recently ‘Rollin’’ have collectively racked up over 1.2M streams and garnered praise globally, including Jack Saunders (BBC Radio 1), Victoria Jane (BBC Radio 1), Reprezent, Foundation FM, triple j and FBi. Chanel has also been championed by the likes of Clash, Dummy, Early Rising, Acclaim, Sniffers, Notion, Line of Best Fit and VICE, while also gaining recognition from local tastemakers after winning FBi’s SMAC Award for Song Of The Year for ‘Playlist’ and a nomination for Best New Act from AUD$. Finally debuting her live show, Chanel showcased her undeniable star quality on the stages of Fortitude Valley for BIGSOUND 2022 and her support for Afro-Aussie supergroup BBGB (B Wise, Kwame, Manu Crooks, BLESSED, Lil Spacely) on their one-off Sydney headline show. In 2023, Chanel will make her festival slot debut when she performs alongside Kehlani for Souled Out Festival.
Drawing on a wide range of influences, from powerhouse vocalists Erykah Badu and Amy Winehouse to early interests in hip-hop and jazz, Chanel has meticulously crafted her sound that is so uniquely her own. With more to come in 2023, Chanel Loren has solidified herself as one to watch this year and beyond.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
