After playing on sold out shows across Australia, Europe and earning a spot at Falls Festival, Chase City are back with their first song “Numb” following on from their successful debut album Pressure.

Since Pressure the band have revamped their sound from “energetic surf pop” towards a“DFA inspired dance rock sound” with the band explaining that “the music is synth heavy with lots of electronic elements” while maintaining a raw sound.

After building their own studio to in Tasmania, Chase City have been busy self producing their new album. The band explain that “Numb” is an “introspective look at the change in dynamics of life moving through your 20’s. It reflects on the feelings and attitudes of being a musician whilst having to navigate the reality of everyday life.”

With an 80s dance feel, “Numb” draws influences from  bands like New Order, LCD Soundsystem & David Bowie and is full of the lush synthesis and textures that you would expect from this era.

Chase City have an extensive touring history and have played sold out shows across Australia and Europe including La Paradiso in Amsterdam. Along with their own shows, the band have supported the likes of Gang of Youths, Dune Rats and British India.
