Melbourne based singer/songwriter CHERIE LAURENT has released her extremely catchy new single and music video called ‘LOVER’, which was premiered via Hysteria Mag.
The single is a reminder that sometimes you just need to let your hair down and explore your sexy side. Cherie is also paying homage to Australia in the single, a country she adores and is proud to call home.

“When I arrived to Australia as an immigrant, I was not familiar with the term ‘Oi’. As I was crossing the road I was almost hit by a car and the driver yelled ’Oi’ at me! Back then I did not know the meaning of it and I didn’t know if it was good or bad! Now I use it wherever I go with my friend as an Australian thing and I love it. By the time I landed in NYC during ‘Fleet Week’, there were so many good-looking American sailors in their beautiful white pressed uniforms. That made my heartbeat faster and my cheeks blush, as they would approach me and ask me where I am from and I always said I am Australian. They would immediately start using ‘Oi’ to refer to me as the Australian girl. This is where the lyric ‘Oi, Oi, Oi you’re my randy sailor boy’ was born.”
CHERIE LAURENT recently released her single called ‘Down On Me’, which is an anthem for equality. The single was aired on well over 80 radio stations worldwide and received positive reviews from Scenestr, HEAVY Mag, AMNplify, Scenezine, IAMU R and many more.
New single ‘LOVER’ is available on all major online stores and streaming services.
“A spirited anthem promoting a unified world no matter your gender, race or creed, Cherie Laurent’s new single ‘Down On Me’ is a rocking song with a powerful message.” Scenestr

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
