Over the years Adam Stivala, better known as Jerk Boy has graced the Sydney scene with his fresh take on house music. Now the producer has teamed up with fellow Sydney vocalist, The Baroness for their release on Tinted Records ‘Satellite’. The Baroness’ powerful vocals are recognisable from Beth Yen’s ARIA chart topping hit ‘Ocean feat. The Baroness’ and as the official touring vocalist for prolific Australian duo, Peking Duk.
With a lazy day at the beach in mind Jerk Boy, wrote ‘Satellite’ which seamlessly blends a classic RnB vocal with jazzy synths, to create Jerk Boy’s signature house sound. Lyrically, the track tells the story of the challenges of trying seeing eye to eye with someone when you are just not on the same page.
Jerk Boy talks about how the song came together, “I wanted a song I could listen to when I’m being a lazy swimming crab at Clovelly beach on a hot summer day. I made a beat but then I needed a vocal, so I reached out to Michaela. I loved her enthusiasm for the track and her amazing work ethic, in the blink of an eye she wrote and sang such a great vocal.”
Jerk Boy has already has been endorsed by various notable artists such as Black Madonna, Groove Armada, Claptone and Weiss. On top of this, the Sydney artist has also received support from triple j, DJ Mag Radio, BBC Radio 1 and Oliver Heldens’ ‘Heldeep’. Stivala has played some of the most iconic parties in town, including Sydney’s Glitterbox alongside industry icons Todd Terry and The Shapeshifters, plus regular appearances at LNDRY, Taylor’s Rooftop and Good Bar, he always knows how to turn it on.
‘Satellite feat. The Baroness’ is out now via Tinted Records

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
