Australian powerhouse partystarters Confidence Man have been nominated for Best International Group at the 2025 BRIT Awards. The momentous nomination comes off the back off the release of their euphoric third album 3AM (LA LA LA) which cracked the UK Top 10 last year, a performance at Glastonbury 2024 that seemingly shutdown the internet and a sold out UK headline tour (including 2 shows and 11,000 at London’s iconic O2 Brixton Academy).

Taking place on 1 March, Confidence Man are the first Australian group to be up for a BRIT Award for Best International Group since Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in 2017. The BRIT Awards, held annually in the UK, celebrate the best British and international music from the year.

2024 saw Confidence Man high kick to a new level in the UK, with their internet breaking appearance at last year’s Glastonbury Festival. Playing 4 sets across the weekend, rave reviews lauded them as “the greatest live act in the world (probably) at Glastonbury 2024”. The Brisbane group have quickly attracted a hardcore fanbase of ravers, both young and old, through their jaw-dropping, high octane performances.

3AM (LA LA LA) includes singles ‘I CAN’T LOSE YOU’, which saw the pop-dance delinquents flying over London in a helicopter naked, the on shoulders anthem ‘SO WHAT’, red-hot double single ‘CONTROL / REAL MOVE TOUCH’ pump up ‘SICKO’ and UK garage banger ‘SO TRU’. The album references a flow state Confidence Man found when writing and recording the album in their east London studio, with sessions that would go all nights. Vocals were improvised in the moment, and often captured in the first take.

Confidence Man wrapped up a huge 2024 playing shows across the globe, with dates across the US supporting Sofi Tukker, a sold-out Australian headline tour, and a UK headline tour including 2 sold out shows at London’s O2 Academy. They ended the year on a high at home playing summer festivals Beyond the Valley, Lost Paradise and Wildlands. This year the band will play European festivals Primavera, All Points East, Parklife and TRNSMT, headline shows at Belin’s Berghain, an already sold out show at Amsterdam’s Paradiso and an extensive North American tour in March.

After bringing the party to festivals around the world in 2024, Confidence Man won Best Live Act at the Rolling Stone UK Awards. The band was also nominated for 3 ARIA Awards for Best Group, Best Live Act and Best Music Video, and nominated for an MTV Europe Music Award for Best Australian Act.
