Over the past three years, Conrad Sewell has traversed the continents to create the record he’s always wanted to make. Today, that culminates into the release of his second studio album PRECIOUS, out via Sony Music Entertainment Australia.

From recording the record at Jackson Browne’s private studio in Santa Monica, to working with some of the world’s most renowned musicians, filming videos at the infamous Village Studios (Bob Dylan, Stevie Nicks, The Rolling Stones) and capturing his campaign images at Manner House in New Jersey (Jerry Hall) – Conrad has created a record that is pure soul rock n’ roll.

Speaking on the album, Conrad says “I’m so excited to finally be putting on my sophomore album PRECIOUS. We started writing and recording this album over three years ago – it was such a journey recording this body of work. I learnt so much throughout the process and have never had so much fun creating. I’m so grateful for all the incredible musicians that blessed this album with their talent. This record truly is one that I am so proud of and I hope that my day one fans and future fans come back to enjoy it for years to come. I like to think there is something on there for everyone!”

Conrad Sewell has always looked up to artists such as Simply Red, Joe Cocker, The Rolling Stones and Rod Stewart; they played a huge part in inspiring and influencing him throughout the creative process and making of this record. To amplify this sonically, Conrad enlisted a world class recording band; Adam McDougall (The Black Crowes keyboardist), Aiden Moore (Justin Timberlake’s bass player), Regiment Horns (Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson’s horn section), Victor Indrizzo (Alanis Morrissette’s drummer) and Zane Carney (John Mayer’s guitarist).

Featuring the previously released hits ‘God Save The Queen’, ‘Make Me A Believer’, ‘Caroline’, ‘Rolling Thunder’ ‘Precious’ and ‘Ferris Wheel’, PRECIOUS touches on themes of ego, the experiences of his youth, transformation, redemption and trying to find his place in the world around him. This record is the fusion of these real stories, along with incredible musicianship and eclectic sounds. It’s a collection of songs that tell a chapter of Conrad’s story, taking the listener on a journey and showing us who he really is as an artist.
