Wildly talented twin producers, Cosmo’s Midnight today announce two additional shows to their upcoming Australian tour. After selling out their Sydney and Melbourne shows in less than a week, fans now have another chance to secure their spot on what is sure to be an energetic dance floor. Melbourne will see the first of the new shows at The Corner Hotel on the 12th of July followed by an extra hometown show at Sydney’s The Metro Theatre on the 4th of August.
Alongside extra dates, brothers Cosmo and Pat have revealed bedroom beat-maker Mookhi as the opener for their national tour. The Sydney based producer burst onto the scene last year with her debut single “Foul Play”, which swiftly made its way up the triple j unearthed charts. Since her debut release Mookhi has made appearances at Splendour In The Grass, The Big Pineapple Festival and Groovin The Moo. Being a master of coupling beats with new and found samples, Mookhi will provide perfect warm up sounds for Genesis Owusu and Cosmo’s Midnight.
The tour comes ahead of their hugely anticipated debut record What Comes Next out June 15 via Sony/RCA Records, and hot on the heels of their latest single “Polarised”, a vibrant cocktail of weightless synths and blissful vocals from one half of the duo, Pat. Launching the album at Sydney’s iconic The Metro Theatre on July 6, they’ll then head to Brisbane’s The Flying Cock on July 7. A week later, the pair venture south to Melbourne’s The Corner Hotel on July 12th and 13th, before making their way to Perth’s Jack Rabbit Slims on July 14. Closing the killer run, the duo will play at Adelaide’s Fat Controller on July 28, before bringing it home will their second show at Sydney’s The Metro Theatre on August 4. With all cities on track to sell out, don’t miss witnessing the revered duo in their element with this brand new live show.
