September is already here, which means it’s only one month to go until The Cat Empire bring their Stolen Diamonds tour back home for another triumphant lap around the country.

After releasing their latest instant classic Stolen Diamonds earlier this year, the band have pretty much circled the planet, playing new songs at festivals and headline shows in their favourite cities across the globe.  Saving the best until last, The Cat Empire bring Stolen Diamonds and their life-affirming goodtime vibes back to Australia to thaw our hearts after a long, cold winter.

.

.

With even more shows added, including extra shows in Sydney of which only a few tickets remain, the band will also bring their special brand of sunshine to Bluesfest in Byron Bay.

Joining The Cat Empire for this tour is special guest Grace Barbe, a genuinely exotic world music star for the 21st century, with the talent, face and voice to match.  Passionately committed to showcasing and developing the Kreol culture with which she is so deeply connected, Grace is preparing to release her new album, FANM:WOMAN in time for this tour.

.

.

To coincide with this latest tour The Cat Empire have also announced a new global partnership with Children’s Ground, an organisation designed with – and led by – First Nations people who are creating a different future for their children and grandchildren.

Children’s Ground delivers early childhood and primary learning, health, employment, creative arts and community development, within a culturally rich environment and a 25-year vision for change. Among a number of planned activations to support the cause, The Cat Empire will be pledging $1 from every ticket they sell on their Australian tour in Oct/Nov to Children’s Ground.

.

.

To commemorate this upcoming tour, The Cat Empire have also launched the CATch A Ride With The Cat Empire competition where you and a lucky friend can win a chance to be immersed in the life of a band member on show day.  The band will pick you both up on the way to the venue, treat you like the VIPs that you are, and drop you off in time to take you behind the curtain to watch sound check. Get an insight into how the cogs turn for the touring party of your favourite band. For more info visit HERE

Please note there will no more headline shows being added to this run, so don’t hold out for more announcements if you don’t want to miss out. For those in Brisbane, the show at Fortitude Music Hall is all ages, so bring your children along to this stunning new venue in your city.
