Courtney Barnett and Camp Cope have today announced an intimate and very special benefit show in response to Australia’s ongoing bushfire crisis.
The show will take place at the Corner Hotel, Richmond on Tuesday 7th of January. 100% of profit from the show will be donated to the Bushfire Disaster Appeal, Rural Fire Service in NSW, Country Fire Authority in Victoria and WIRES (Wildlife Rescue).
Camp Cope’s Sarah Thompson (Thomo) said of the show: “Watching the news every day, and watching our government completely turn a blind eye, and show absolutely no empathy toward the trauma being faced by a huge portion of the country is completely devastating to us. It really makes you feel helpless, like every little trivial thing in your life is meaningless in comparison. We can’t be out there fighting fires, but it’s so easy for us to play a show to try and support those who are. It truly feels like the very, very least we can do to help in a small way.”
The show will be Barnett’s only full-band show of 2020 while Camp Cope are unlikely to pick up the tools again until late 2020. The show will be opened by the incredible Alice Skye and DJ Fee B-Squared will be dropping bangers in between sets.
Tickets will go on-sale at 10am AEST today HERE.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
