Following of from his nomination for Best Hip Hop release for his track “Body (feat. Jaecy)” at the Queensland Music Awards, Brisbane’s Creed Tha Kid today returns with his brand new single and video for “Wind It”. Stream and download “Wind It” via db music/Warner Music Australia.
“Wind It” is a refreshing love song that isn’t full of empty platitudes, but rather true emotion. In his own words, Creed notes “I’m basically always in a loop and coming back to the same situations, but there’s too much of a connection to leave. The inspiration for the song came from the beat, as soon as I heard the vibey bells come in I thought of the hook.”
The track also comes along side an official music video, centred around Creed reminiscing on old memories and moments within a previous relationship. Directed by Murli and featuring a sleuth of influencers and personal friends of Creed, the video is streaming now.
Creed Tha Kid has never let his age define him – instead, he’s made his mark through dropping a string of melodic, silky singles that blur the lines between hip-hop, rap and R&B. Whenever the Māori-Australian artist jumps on a track, whether it’s to deliver an addictive hook or come through with the haymaker bars, people stop and listen. It comes with the charisma and charm that he exudes every time he steps into a room.

Creed Tha Kid’s earned the respect of both his listeners and his peers, having previously worked with the likes of A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and DJ Noiz, as well as local heroes Mason Dane, Jaecy, Youngn Lipz and Day1. This has been highlighted through his live appearances, like a feature spot during A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s set at 2020’s FOMO Festival, as well as a tour with American rapper Lil Mosey. As we wait for live shows to make a return on a full scale, fans of Creed Tha Kid can be sure that he’s been honing his skills in the meantime, raring for them to return. People won’t know what’s hit them.
