Praise for D4VD
“He’s somehow made it even more of a gut-puncher, if you can believe”
triple j (Like A Version)
“Primed to be one the biggest breakout acts this year”
Hypebeast
“Here is a very contemporary kind of budding star. d4vd has already cracked the Billboard Hot 100 and the Hot Alternative/Rock charts — though that probably undersells how famous he is.”
The FADER
“d4vd is writing a new kind of love story”
Highsnobiety
“Don’t let his age fool you. The musician is mature beyond his years (both in the personal and artistic sense). He has a unique ability to make the most inexpressible emotions palpable.”
VMan
“Loads of star power…melds genres to fit his vision, with a bit of emo, Y2K retro-rock, and classic soul. Let’s keep a close eye on d4vd.”
Stereogum
“The sounds he creates – often worlds apart from each other – are an exercise in dramatics, a kind of stagecraft where his imagination dictates the weather, the narrative and emotion of it all.”
The Line Of Best Fit
“Crafts emotive indie-leaning gems, breaking through to the mainstream”
DIY Magazine
“As pure a creative as you can get”
Pilerats
“All eyes are on d4vd”

The news follows the release of two major releases from the Houston-born artist this last year that established him as a genre-defying newcomer. The first, his debut EP Petals To Thorns, a masterful nine-track project with breakthrough hits including ARIA Double Platinum ‘Romantic Homicide’, a grungy, guitar-driven breakup anthem, ARIA Double Platinum ‘Here With Me’. The breakout debut release was then followed by a complementary follow-up EP The Lost Petals; the five-song collection fits into the world of Petals to Thorns and serves as a more intimate and stripped-down glimpse of d4vd’s artistry and a continuation of that project representing a similar time in d4vd’s creative process that he wanted to share with fans before moving into his next phase of music. Across both releases, his intuitive command of lyricism shone, stemming from years of scribbling raps and poems in his journal since childhood, and his versatile interests shine in his music, drawing primarily from manga for his “real and grounded” narratives.
d4vd recently received a Streamy Award Nomination for ‘Here With Me’ in the ‘Rolling Stone Sound of the Year’ category. Earlier this year, he was honored as part of Billboard’s 21 under 21 and Variety’s Young Hollywood Impact Report lists. As part of their ‘Bummer Summer’ campaign, Spotify installed a d4vd statue in his hometown of Houston’s Buffalo Bayou Park. More recently d4vd played Spotify’s ‘Pop Rising’ show in Los Angeles, two sold-out headline tours, festival performances at Austin City Limits, Corona Capital Festival, and Tyler The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw and a string of shows supporting R&B powerhouse SZA on the second leg of her North American S.O.S. tour. d4vd wraps up the year with a special collaboration with 21 Savage for Call of Duty’s Modern Warfare 3 soundtrack and one tours one last round of shows in Singapore, Tokyo, and Seoul before heading to Australian shores in early 2024. About D4VD
d4vd, born David Burke, emerged as a visionary artist only one year after he began writing and recording heart-piercing tracks alone in his sister’s closet in Houston, Texas. d4vd gained his now-eclectic taste in rap and indie music from internet wormholes and fan-made Fortnite videos on YouTube, which he also started creating as a homeschooled teenager. As an avid player who has amassed over fifty thousand subscribers on his gaming channel, he noticed that the songs in his game montages were getting copyright strikes, and his mother suggested that he should write his own original music as a solution. This motivated d4vd to start recording his own tracks after discovering an easy-to-use music-making app called BandLab. He’s released a smattering of singles touching everything from indie-alternative to pop to R&B, and the 18-year-old scored a breakout hit in the summer of 2022 with the ARIA platinum-certified melancholic indie rock song ‘Romantic Homicide’. Recorded entirely on an iPhone, he broke into the Top 40 ARIA Singles Chart, which led to him signing to Darkroom/Interscope before d4vd even graduated high school. His slow-building beachy ballad, ‘Here With Me’ followed suit, breaking into the Billboard Hot 100 in January 2023 and recently becoming 2x ARIA Platinum.

AMNPLIFY – ML
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
