Singular voice daine continues their stream of new music with the release of ‘CUT MY HEART OUT’, a work that broadens the artist’s sonic palette and with it imbues an insatiable thirst for fun. The single follows the earlier announcement of daine’s upcoming support slot with Eden this November and Bring Me The Horizon across Australia tour dates. LISTEN + WATCH HERE.
Self-ascribed as “sexy club music,” ‘CUT MY HEART OUT’ opens with bright bursting bass, with notes of daine’s hybrid sound set to a refreshingly kinetic backdrop. Taking instrumental cues from the late 00s heyday of chart-club, ‘CUT MY HEART OUT’ fizzes and whirrs with an upfront, gloss-heavy electro energy set to daine’s delivery, which cunningly exhibits how adaptable their writing is; finding melodies that would usually be reserved for the heartbroken sounds of third wave emo and transposing them on to the endorphin-fuelled rush of the track. Electro-pop with an emotionally wrought twist ‘CUT MY HEART OUT’ showcases the next phase of daine’s music stepping from the otherworldly to rave-ready.

The track’s video also strips back the bare bones of what is possible with a visual while displaying maximum emotional heft. Performing the track in a bare white space, scenes are eventually spliced daine removing their glasses to recite the track’s lyrics, revealing the tears streaming down their face as they do so. The Jeiroh-directed clip deftly amplifies the track’s emotion with a visual cue so raw that it cuts right down to the track’s underlying messaging while inspiring a visceral reaction from the viewer.
Since 2020, Naarm / Melbourne based artist daine has made an indelible mark on the landscape of contemporary music by subverting expectations of their genre-diverse sound. This has led to global acclaim, support slots with the likes of 100 Gecs, personal mentor Charli XCX, and an upcoming arena tour with Bring Me The Horizon across Australia. Already renowned for a malleable sound that defies boundaries, daine continues to navigate and redefine the music landscape through their own personal lens. With a history of echoing voices from diverse sonic worlds, from pop to ambient, daine’s earlier single ‘BITE BACK’ marked a new layer of the artist’s evolution through a love letter to NYC’s timeless club culture.

daine continues to ignite imaginations globally with a wildly varied output across their burgeoning career, cemented through their debut release Quantum Jumping and follow-up mixtape Shapeless. With releases including the triple j favourite ‘New Ground‘, the fierce ‘IDC‘ and glitch-laden, Dylan Brady of 100 Gecs produced hyper pop of ‘boys wanna txt’ to the emotionally-charged ‘Stay Close’, tongue-in-cheek dayglo pop of ‘boythots’ and metal-infused electronica of ‘Salt’ ft. Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes, daine’s dynamic output has typified their music as the soundtrack to a generation equipped with postmodern, ever-expanding tastes.
An artist set on laying multiple elements of their personality on display for the world to see, daine’s ever-expanding sonic universe is one for people of all walks of life to immerse themselves in, simultaneously finding something they can relate to. While their music maintains an otherworldly sensibility, daine’s spiritual and sonic transformation will be complete, ushering in a powerful, direct, and impossible-to-resist new era. A fascinating example of how to transform recognisable, nostalgic sounds into something completely unique and dazzlingly infectious, do not miss your chance to see one of global pop music’s most subversive forces live on their biggest stages yet alongside Bring Me The Horizon – full tour routing details below.

AMNPLIFY – ML
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
