DAMIEN
Prepares for the
dark months ahead with
‘MELBOURNE AFTERNOON’
.
.
Australian alt-electro-rock musician DAMIEN released new track ‘Melbourne Afternoon’, on all streaming platforms on Friday 25th March.
DAMIEN pairs his industrial style with lyrical content that is reflective and raw with a sound reminiscent of artists such as Siiickbrain, Johnny Goth, Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson
.
.
When asked what inspired ‘Melbourne Afternoon’, DAMIEN says: “The track is reflective of my own struggles with depression, suicide and existential dread, which often become more intensified during the winter months. This song expresses my wrestles with my own sense of impermanence and fears about the chaotic nature of present existence, but with a push to myself to keep holding on..”
Queensland’s DAMIEN is a queer, non-binary artist who powerfully pushes against mainstream conventions with poignant, post-punk political commentaries. He has been compared to Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails and Gorillaz. In 2021 DAMIEN released his full length album, ‘Girl’, which was praised for reshaping alternative electronica by Happy Mag. DAMIEN has received national and international airplay and has frequently featured in local, national and international publications. ‘Melbourne Afternoon’ is the fourth single from his soon to be released second album titled, ‘Wrong Age. Wrong Race. Wrong Gender.’

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
