SOUNDMERCH – REAL LIFE RECORD STORE – 64 OXFORD STREET, COLLINGWOODServing up another taste from the 20th Anniversary editions of Dannii’s ‘Neon Nights’, London DJs AMYL (Ross Jones and Simon M) give Dannii’s ‘lost’ single, the Roger Sanchez produced ‘Blame it on The Music’, a retropop revision. Taking cues from other synth pop luminaries, they describe their mix as chugging bassline, dancing synths and Dannii’s pristine pop vocal making a percolating pop house remix.
Available on Friday June 16, The #Danniiversary editions celebrate ‘Neon Nights’ with new artwork and liner notes, bonus tracks and B-sides, unarchived mixes, and a swathe of newly commissioned remixes.
To coincide with the release of the Anniversary Editions, Dannii will be appearing at her only Australian In-Store signing in Melbourne with CD’s, Vinyl and Exclusive Limited Edition T-shirts available for sale.

64 OXFORD STREET, COLLINGWOODFirst released in 2003, ‘Neon Nights’ perfectly captured the dance-pop zeitgeist of its time. Propelled by a veritable pick and mix of the European dance production scene, the album spawned four UK Top 10 smashes with ‘Who Do You Love Now?‘, ‘Put A Needle On It‘, ‘I Begin To Wonder’’ and ‘Don’t Wanna Lose This Feeling‘. The album was certified Gold and debuted at No.8 on the UK Official Albums Chart and was nominated for Best Pop Release at the 2003 Aria Awards.
‘Neon Nights’ planted its feet firmly on the dancefloor, its various singles and remix packages achieving no less than thirteen Number Ones on the UK dance charts. ‘I Begin to Wonder’ and ‘Don’t Wanna Lose This Feeling’ also enjoyed substantial success on the US dance charts, with ‘Put The Needle On It’ dominating French airwaves and topping four UK club charts simultaneously. The nominations Dannii received during this period reflected the album’s electronic lineage, including Best Worldwide Single at Dancestar Awards for ‘I Begin to Wonder’, and two nominations at the WMC International Dance Music Awards.
To this day, ‘Neon Nights’ stands up as a compelling set of bonafide dancefloor bangers.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
