Darcy returns with unapologetic new single Traitor (releasing June 10). Traitor is a raucous pop-rock track dedicated to all those who have been wronged by a lover. Written by Darcy and Melbourne producer Julian Schweitzer, Traitor takes the listener on a journey through it’s gritty guitars, 808s and hard-hitting lyricism whilst creating a stirring energy similar to the likes of Halsey and Maggie Lindemann. Speaking to the meaning behind the heart-rendering track, Darcy explains;
“Traitor was written about a love interest of mine who left right when I needed them most. Our relationship was perfect, I truly believed we were soulmates until they were suddenly just gone. It was by far the worst heartbreak I’d ever been through, however my sadness soon turned to anger and writing this song was the perfect release of all that energy that had built up. The great thing about Traitor is that it can really be about anything you want it to be, if any person has ever done you wrong, whether it’s a family member, a friend or a partner, this is the perfect song to scream in the car to.”
Not her first rodeo, Darcy previously made a name for herself appearing on The Voice on Team George. She has performed at an array of festivals and events including Boolarra Folk Festival, Frankston Music Festival, Kids Fashion Meets Music, Army of Dreams (Sydney) and more. Along with some intoxicating headline shows, Darcy has supported many Melbourne-based artists including AYDAN, Royce, David Taylor and Mitch Gardner.
Traitor is the first taste from Darcy’s debut EP out late 2022.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
