“Atlas was one of the first songs we wrote that made it on the album. At the time we were still trying to figure out the direction and feeling of the new record. We had a really fun session where things just started moving immediately and everybody was throwing ideas around. We started writing about the stress and weight of life and how we deal with that struggle by metaphorically lifting and holding the weight of the world on our shoulders. I think the main message of this song is being able to struggle and lose grip on your world, but still having the ability to find your strength and pick it up again. We also loved the reference to the story of Atlas in Greek mythology, where he was condemned to hold up the sky and heavens for eternity.
For the album/singles release cycle, we wanted everything to be really consistent and have a similar feeling. To do this, we knew we had to get a team on board. Nearly all of the visuals including the photos for the album and singles were taken during the shoot for the Atlas music video. We had such a small team achieve so much with Maxwell Byrne (Golden Vessel/1tbsp) and Bec Zanetti as co-directors for the video, and Tom Carrol (egumei) on MV photography and editing. It was so much fun to film and the playfulness really shines through in the final video.
We feel like this song has such a presence, so we are very happy to be doing a music video and tour around it!
We will be touring in Australia early August, then doing shows across the USA and Canada for the very first time in September/October. The three of us are absolutely itching to get back on the stage with the live band and play all of the new songs that haven’t been heard before. The whole set has been workshopped again to make it even more exciting for us and the audience as well. Lots more to come. Stay tuned!” ~ Tyler Harden (of daste.)

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
