There seems to be no slowing down for Dean Lewis. After what has been a phenomenal few months promoting his GOLD selling debut album, A Place We Knew, today the Sydney artist releases his ‘Stay Awake (Live At The Forum, Melbourne 2019)’ video. Filmed at his sold-out Melbourne show on his recent A Place We Knew Australian Tour, the live video was shot by Sean Vandenberg at The Forum Theatre on the second night of his three sold-out Melbourne Shows.

Currently on tour in Europe and fresh on the heels of his first Asian promo tour, Dean recently wound up his sold-out National Album Tour in Australia. As glowing reviews continue to follow him around the globe, his smash-hit single ‘Be Alright’ has reached 1 billion streams globally.  It has also now hit 7 x Platinum in Australia and surpassed Platinum in 16 other countries, including US, UK, Canada.

As an artist always willing to share his stories with his fans, last month Dean released ‘The Making of A Place We Knew’ which can be viewed here. The black and white short documentary takes viewers behind the scenes of the making his #1 ARIA Album and includes never seen before footage of recording in various studios. Filmed in Sydney, Byron Bay and Los Angeles the video is directed by Dean’s brother, Sean.

In April, Dean was acknowledged for his song-writing at the 2019 APRA Music Awards. He won the award for Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year and for his domestic and international success, won the Outstanding International Achievement Award for ‘Be Alright’.  The song peaked on the Top 50 Songs YTD Chart in the USA at #42.

Dean’s 12-track debut album was Triple J’s feature album and debuted # 1 in Australia, #18 on the Billboard Top 200 in the USA, as well as Top 5 Billboard Pop Album and #1 iTunes Singer/Songwriter Album Charts.

Around the rest of the world the album hit Top 10 in New Zealand (#7), Top 20 in Switzerland (#11), Canada (#15) and Ireland (#20) and Top 30 in Norway (#25), Belgium (#30), Netherlands (#21) and Top 40 in Germany (#32), Sweden (#37) and the UK (#37).

The chart-topping singer-songwriter will continue his Global Album Tour performing at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Isle of Wight, Rock Wertchter, Osheaga & Outside Lands and headline shows in Europe and North America.  Dean will return to Australia in July for the Splendour In The Grass festival.
