“Dear Seattle are back and showing why they’re the kings of the new breed of Aus grunge.” – Nick Findlay, triple j
“If you’ve been waiting for a band to fill the void since the death of Kisschasy, Dear Seattle is it. Alongside animated instrumentals, sneaky breakdowns and a whole lot of fun, Dear Seattle have a way of articulating so many gritty emotions through each song on Don’t Let Go.” – The Music
“Sydney four-piece Dear Seattle have delivered a somewhat unexpectedly deep album, built on camaraderie that is equally as rewarding on the tenth listen as the first.” – STACK Magazine
“Thoughtful and relatable concepts that, strung together as they are, neatly sum up the world of young adults living in 2019.” – Wall Of Sound AU
“Dear Seattle has delivered an album packed with golden tracks and hidden treasures.” – Depth Mag
“Delivering wild live shows, and demonstrating a knack for writing tunes that have just the right balance of reckless thrashing and emotional impact, it seems that in years to come Dear Seattle will be occupying the space that acts like Violent Soho are in now.” – Life Without Andy

Sydney’s much loved Dear Seattle unveiled their highly anticipated debut album DON’T LET GO last Friday, via Domestic La La. To celebrate the release, which has been added as an album packet on triple j, the band have also announced a run of Australian tour dates kicking off at Brisbane’s Woolly Mammoth on May 17th.
PURCHASE/STREAM “DON’T LET GO” HERE
Recorded during a month in Homesurgery Studios in Melbourne, the band have created a truly unique and powerful style of songwriting that’s connecting with fans across Australia and the rest of the world. Looking behind their booze-soaked, larrikin image and self-effacing humour, you’ll discover a depth and dimension to DON’T LET GO that you may not have expected.
“This album is a reminder that we should never leave our past behind, and instead, understand it, accept it and shape it into something that will help us grow and find greater happiness. You should never forget how you came to be.” – Brae Fisher, lead singer
You’ll find songs that explore anxiety (“Bigger Than My Brain”), self-doubt (“Daytime TV”), reckless living (“Homegrown”), the fake nature of the music industry (“Try”), the shame of not being able to provide for a loved one due to financial constraints of being a full-time musician (“Broke and Hungry”) and one of the album’s most touching songs “I Keep Dreaming”, which was written about Fisher’s father, who passed away when the singer was seven.
Dear Seattle’s path to this point gained momentum with the release of their self-titled EP in 2017, with the band embracing a grunge-tinged brand of rock’n’roll which saw singles such as “The Meadows” and “Afterthought” receive handsome triple j airplay.
That same year they signed with Domestic La La, a new record label spearheaded by Violent Soho guitarist James Tidswell. This success saw the band tour with the likes of Tired Lion, Balance And Composure, Kingswood, Hockey Dad and Trophy Eyes, not to mention festival slots on Groovin The Moo, Unify, Festival Of The Sun, Party In The Paddock and Brisbane’s annual music industry showcase, Bigsound.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
