“…an album that’ll shake you to your core and when it feels like the world is swallowing you up maybe it’ll give you the courage to try harder to get back some of that magic you lost. there really is nothing stopping them, star quality through and through.” – Metal-Roos, 5/5

“TOY has such a genuine feel, carrying a fresh sound while still dripping with that Aussie-rock charm that Dear Seattle does so well.” – The AU Review, 4.5/5

“TOY is a listen which doubles up a body of lighthearted bops and a springboard for change; it shows how we truly grow when being most honest with ourselves.” – KERRANG!

The wait is over and today is the day that fans can finally unwrap Sydney alt-rockers Dear Seattle’s third studio album TOY.

Boasting earlier singles Counting Hours, Evergreen, idc, Nothing’s Stopping Me Now, Sungazer, and Say What You Want, TOY dazzles with raw lyricism and salient songwriting, with the band teaming up with returning producer Fletcher Matthews to powerfully level up the Dear Seattle signature sound without sacrificing the quartet’s core sonic charm in the process.

Love, loss, addiction, nostalgia, and every salient moment of life in between beats at the insatiable core of TOY. Showcasing Dear Seattle both brandishing their trademark infectious craftsmanship while also showcasing their palpable creative growth over the past few years, TOY is an emphatic collection of relatable anthems to belt at the top of your lungs; an album that feels instantly familiar yet fresh in one exhilarating sweep that unfurls across the space of 12 tracks.

With a distinctive Aussie tinge to their emotive and propulsive wares, Dear Seattle first emerged onto the scene back in 2013, releasing their debut EP Words Are Often Useless that same year. Following a second EP release, 2017’s self-titled Dear Seattle, the Northern Beaches-hailing group solidified their presence with their first ever full-length album Don’t Let Go in 2019, also securing the group a #10 spot on the ARIA Australian Album Charts.

Unleashing their powerful sophomore album Someday in 2022, Dear Seattle expanded their legacy to even greater heights, with Someday debuting at #4 on the ARIA Australian Album Charts, a Spotlight Album feature on triple j, and Rolling Stone declaring that “Dear Seattle is born again”.

Continuously honing their modern take on old school pop punk and alt-rock over the years, Dear Seattle have previously performed alongside the likes of Hockey Dad, Trophy Eyes and Dune Rats, with multiple headline tours and appearances at Splendour In The Grass, UNIFY Gathering, Party In The Paddock and more in their wake.

Dear Seattle will conclude their special Album Launch Party Tour this weekend, performing in Wollongong tonight, followed by Sydney on Saturday 18 January and concluding in Newcastle on Sunday 19 January, with all three shows entirely sold out.
