“With that laid-back guitar line, the Arctic’s vibe in the delivery, and the psych tinges here and there, how could you not love it.” – Richard Kingsmill
“It’s a spacey, colourful gem which is to be expected, but there’s also a restraint and a touch of 70s soft rock in there too. I’m expecting to see some sharp, oversized suits and camp collar shirts next time I see you live.” – Declan Byrne, triple j Home & Hosed
“This band doesn’t slow down! After dropping their first record in 2020 they’re already giving us new music. We’re not worthy! I love how they’re embracing their melodic and proggy side more and more here while it still feels like a big DBD sing-along.” – Dave Ruby Howe, triple j unearthed

Perth’s indie four-piece Death by Denim are back and determined to get you on the dancefloor with their new single & clip ‘Cause A Scene’, a pulsating and high energy party-starter – listen to the single here
The track, which premiered on triple j’s Good Nights was inspired by the various instances of social and environmental activism seen over the past few years and the need for significant reform – where it’s not enough to stand and commentate from the sidelines, you’ve got to cause a scene.
To coincide with the single Death by Denim have released a clip, which is a nostalgic look at what life was like on the road. Premiering on Life Without Andy, the band explain the new clip, “Playing live shows and touring especially is what we as a band love doing more than anything else. With the fragility of the current situation, we wanted to give our fans an insight into what it’s like being on the road with us, it’s a lot of fun! The video was shot by Dan Hildebrand who has been working with us for a while now and he really captured the chaotic energy of the song through the video.”

‘Cause is a Scene’ is the follow-up to previous single ‘Small World’, both tracks a taste of what to expect from their sophomore album out early 2022. They follow a string of successful releases last year, with Death by Denim having three songs added to high rotation on triple j from their debut album and seeing fan favourites ‘Cigarettes and Honey’ and ‘Wiggy’ both surpass 1 million streams on Spotify. 2020 also saw them signing to Paradigm Talent Agency as well as being part of a select few to showcase at BIGSOUND50 and SXSW’s first digital festival.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
