ARIA is thrilled to announce today that the host of the 34th Annual ARIA Awards in partnership with YouTube Music, is multiple ARIA Award winner and multi platinum singer/songwriter Delta Goodrem. Goodrem is no stranger to the ARIA’s, having won 12 ARIA Awards. Her extensive resume is indicative of an extraordinary career, her album Innocent Eyes is the second best selling album from an Australian artist of all time and held the number one spot on the ARIA albums chart for 29 consecutive weeks.
With all of her exceptional career achievements, nine-seasons in the coaches chair on The Voice Australia, this makes her the natural choice as host of the 34th Annual ARIA Awards, a role she will be undertaking for the very first time.
“I am beyond honoured to be hosting the 2020 ARIA Awards bringing to people’s homes the music that has meant so much to them this year. The Australian music industry has had a year unlike any other we have ever faced before, and I am so looking forward to celebrating with you all – albeit remotely, as we come together to recognise and celebrate how talented this industry is to a global audience,” said Delta Goodrem.
Dan Rosen, Chief Executive for ARIA said: “We are very excited to have Delta Goodrem as our host for the 2020 ARIA Awards. She is no stranger to the ARIA stage, having taken home 12 ARIAs and delivered us a number of magic moments over her stellar career. This year she has dealt with the challenges of 2020 by remaining creative whilst raising funds and awareness for people in need. I can’t wait for Delta to lead our reflection – and celebration – of a one-of-a-kind year.”
Delta Goodrem is an artist in the truest sense – bringing stories to life as a singer-songwriter and performer, and has made giving back a priority in life through her philanthropy and recently launching the Delta Goodrem Foundation. Delta has achieved multi-platinum selling status, nine #1 singles, four #1 albums, 17 top 10 hits, 12 ARIA Awards, a Silver Logie Award & three World Music Awards. Goodrem’s first album, Innocent Eyes, was one of the highest-selling debut albums in Australian history. The album spent a record-breaking 29 weeks at #1 in Australia. It topped the Australian Albums Charts and reached 23 x platinum in sales. Her last album Wings of the Wild debuted at #1 with the platinum hit song “Wings”, the singer’s 9th #1 single.
2020 has seen the world face unprecedented times. For Delta Goodrem it’s been an opportunity to release incredibly powerful music and connect with fans in a way only she can. Delta was inspired to write “Let It Rain” after the devastation caused by bushfires across Australia at the beginning of the year. She teamed up with Apple Music, Sony Music, and iHeart Radio for the release, with all proceeds going to aid with Red Cross Bushfire Relief. In February she took to the stage in front of 70,000 fans at ANZ Stadium as part of the Fire Fight Australia concert which was broadcast nationally. Her incredibly moving performance of “Let It Rain” was included on the live album release, Artists Unite For Fire Fight: Concert For National Bushfire Relief.
In April, Global Citizen together with Lady Gaga invited Goodrem to perform as part of the online One World: Together At Home festival in support of the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization. Delta was the only artist performing in Australia with the event capturing over 270 million viewers from around the world. On Anzac Day this year, Delta was one of four hosts of the Music From The Home Front live music event broadcast on the Nine Network, and performed “Down Under” with Men At Work’s Colin Hay.

In May, Delta returned to our television screens as the longest serving Coach on The Voice Australia, and celebrated 150 episodes. Goodrem has mentored her artists to victory, as the winning coach for the 2016 & 2017 seasons of The Voice and was the winning coach on the first ever English- speaking version of The Voice Kids.
Keen to connect with her fans from all over the world in a year of disconnect, Delta launched The Bunkerdown Sessions via her social media platforms for 26 weeks. Performing live deep cuts from her extensive catalogue, she surprised fans by performing the first single, “Keep Climbing” off her highly anticipated sixth studio album. “Keep Climbing” centres on resilience and never giving up, providing a much needed message of strength and solidarity during challenging times. Goodrem followed up with the release of a second single, “Paralyzed”. The deeply personal track focuses on a life changing moment of reset. Most recently, the empowering and uptempo anthem “Solid Gold,” has delighted fans. These tracks build towards the release of Goodrem’s sixth studio album, set for release in the coming months.
Her sixth studio album is set to be her most candid, soul-bearing release yet. Telling stories of coming into her own as a woman, Delta is utilising her phenomenal song-writing talents to share deeply personal moments she never thought she would share. The production has been kept minimal, focusing instead on emotional lyrics and live instrumentation. Every song was started at the piano just like she did back when she first started out, enabling her to feel strong in this chapter of her life, being her authentic self musically, and knowing who she is as an artist. Having been involved in music and TV from a young age, so much of her life has been lived in the public eye. This new era of music sees Goodrem opening up and sharing stories she’s not shared before, with people already responding to her transparency and vulnerability.
She also launched the Delta Goodrem Foundation, which strives to spread kindness, hope and support for those facing illness, hardship and inequality. With a lead collaboration with St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, to help fund medical research in cellular therapy for blood cancers and auto-immune disease, $1+ GST from every ticket purchased to the BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED DREAMS TOUR will be donated to the Foundation – visit deltagoodremfoundation.org for more information. Delta will be back out on the road in April and May 2021 on her Bridge Over Troubled Dreams Australian Arena tour, with tickets on sale now.
Surprising fans around the world, Delta Goodrem last week released her brand new Christmas album, ONLY SANTA KNOWS through Sony Music Entertainment Australia. The album is available to purchase or download here with a vinyl copy of the album due for release on December 11th.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
