Coming off a slew of highly praised performances at SXSW, DENZEL CURRY has dropped a re-imagination of his breakout track “Ultimate” as well as ‘Imperial‘ standout cut “Sick & Tired“. Recorded in LA in late January with help from Toronto hip-hop jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD, Curry brings fresh perspective to the two tracks, combining the 21-year-old Carol City, Florida MC’s ferocity with BBNG’s hazy instrumentals.

A recent Loma Vista (St. Vincent, Marilyn Manson, Ghost, HEALTH) signing, Curry presents his own brand of powerful, politically-charged rap. His work is radical and his mission is simple – full creative control to generate organic and uncensored music with a strong message.

Denzel Curry toured Australia for the first time in January to an explosive reception, including a venue upgrade in Melbourne and high praise from the likes of Noisey, Acclaim, rage, where he guest-programmed the show, and Music Feeds, who dubbed Curry “a fireball of aggressive political and social lyricism exploding over bass-heavy beats.”

After quietly amassing a grassroots fanbase through the release of his 2013 debut Nostalgic 64 and 2015 double EP 32 Zel/Planet Shrooms, Imperial placed Denzel Curry in a category of his own as underground rap’s most authentic and ready-to-blow up voice. With Imperial hosting notable features from Rick Ross, Joey BADA$$, Twelvelen and Nell, the new BADBADNOTGOOD sessions serve to further showcase Curry’s versatility and near-peerless technical skill.
