DERMOT KENNEDY today releases his brand new single ‘LOST’.
‘Lost’ comes in the wake of an outpouring of critical acclaim in the 2019 tips lists, with the BBC including Dermot in their ‘Sound of 2019’ shortlist, being crowned ‘Best New Artist’ via a public vote by NPR Slingshot and tipped as a key artist to watch in 2019 by YouTube Music, MTV and Ticketmaster. Dermot dropped the video for fan-favourite‘For Island Fires and Family’ at the start of January and with ‘Lost’ is now building up to his biggest headline show to date at a sold-out O2 Academy Brixton on May 8th.
‘Lost’ taps into the raw talent and deft touch Dermot possesses of pulling at the listeners heart strings whilst always sounding genuine and sincere; of the track Dermot says “Lost is a song I wrote about resilience and reliance. Bad things can happen and when they do, when you’re tested, you’re going to need the love and the shelter of certain people to hold you up and guide you through whatever storm you find yourself in. It’s about holding each other up through bad times.”
After a recent sold-out run of shows in Australia, Dermot headed to the US for his debut TV performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, wowing crowds with a performance of his recent single ‘Power Over Me’. He’ll also be headlining a run of dates across Canada and America this April culminating with an appearance at Coachella Festival and a massive show at the Filmore Auditorium in Denver, Colorado.
With his upcoming sold-out UK tour and a debut record in the works, 2019 is set to be a stand-out year for Kennedy. Global streaming numbers continue to rise with over 500m across all platforms and 4.5m+ monthly listeners on Spotify alone and recent praise from the likes of the Evening Standard, British GQ, Complex Magazine and The Independent all put the Irish songwriter at the edge of mainstream success.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
