One summer night a year and a half ago, two Melbourne artists found themselves unexpectedly co-writing a song. With just a pedestal fan, a beat-up bass, and some empty cups of tea, Didirri and Ro wrote “Tea Stains”.
Reminiscent of drive-in movies, longing gazes across the room, chipped fine china, silk dresses at sunset, and heartfelt duets as the train leaves the station, “Tea Stains” (out now) has a tasteful understated romance that mysteriously reels you in.
With over 800,000 collective streams, “Tea Stains” has been played extensively across triple j, double j, triple j unearthed, and community radio stations across Australia, was added to RAGE and MTV, and has been praised with comments such as “they’ve crafted an enveloping, folksy sing-along that draws you in from the first strum and dual-voiced lyric” (Al Newstead, triple j), “is so intoxicating, so honest and beautifully bittersweet” (Wolf In A Suit) and “a smooth blend of timbres akin to a good cup of Earl Gray” (RUSSH Magazine).
Now, witness both lyrically prolific artists perform the duet live in an art gallery, before they share their quirky and romantic collaboration live across Australia as Didirri announces an August headline tour, with special guest Ro in support.
(Ro and Didirri) “We wrote this a summer and a half ago on a cheap beat up acoustic bass. Didirri’s first single ‘Blind You’ had just been uploaded and we didn’t know what was going to happen. It was nice to unexpectedly bust out a collab song that was fun and quirky.
The song is a play on that ‘best friends accidentally falling for each-others’ story, with tensions and unsaid truths over cups of tea. It’s also a subtly sarcastic comment on the idea that a cuppa solves everything.
Love is hard to communicate, especially when it sneaks up on you. You just want to spill out all the raw, repressed feelings that you’ve pent up in a friendship or relationship. A cuppa is not just a cuppa, and the tiny tea bag contains all of the real baggage.”

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
