Dillon Francis
Debuts “Say Less” Featuring G-Eazy
+ First Release on Francis’ Own IDGAFOS Label
+ Touring This April/May
Platinum-selling DJ, producer, host and creator of TBS Digital’s One Deeper Talks, actor and all-round nice guy Dillon Francis today reveals his highly anticipated new single ‘Say Less’ featuring G-Eazy, the first official release on Francis’ own label IDGAFOS. Australian fans will be among the first to hear the new music live as Francis’, fresh from Coachella, will headline the Moolin Rouge stage at Groovin the Moo in addition to performing a run of standalone shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth; his first since 2016’s ‘We Are All Lee Lin Chin’ national tour.
The propulsive ‘Say Less’ is a years in the making collaboration. “G-Eazy and I had been talking about making a record for the past four years but our insane touring schedules never let us get in the studio together,” said Francis. “In the beginning of the year it finally worked out when we were both in LA. One session turned into three and now we have our glorious song that we are so proud of.”
IDGAFOS originated from Francis’ 2011 song of the same name, which at the time, reflected the culmination of his signature musical productions. The term has since evolved into a rallying cry for all things Dillon Francis — his clothing line, epic live show, and now an outlet with which to release his new music. In his own words, IDGAFOS is “to be spirited and happy… to never give a fuck or shit about anything but remaining positive.”
Francis initially made history in 2012 as “the first moombahton artist to achieve the number-one spot on Beatport” with the ‘Something, Something Awesome’ EP. His 2014 major label debut album, ‘Money Sucks, Friends Rule (Mad Decent/Columbia Records), landed on Rolling Stone’s “Top Electronic Albums of 2014” list and was a favourite on triple j. Averaging over 4 million monthly Spotify streams, Francis has a achieved a sting of smashes including ‘Anywhere’ (feat. Will Heard), #1 Billboard Dance Club Songs chart-topper ‘Coming Over’ with Kygo and the RIAA platinum-certified DJ Snake collaboration ‘Get Low’ which has surpassed 500 million worldwide streams. The list of Francis’ high profile collaborations extends to the likes of Calvin Harris, Rae Sremmurd, Major Lazer, Martin Garrix as well as local favourites What So Not and The Presets.
